Remember to make your baby's first appointment by their first birthday. We recommend that both mom and dad
come to their baby's first visit. This early appointment is one of the best things you can do for your baby. We do education for the prevention of childhood cavities for your child and the parent. |

| Ages 1-3 |
We talk with parents about how to care for their toddler's teeth. We recommend that your child should be seen in our office every six months for a preventative exam and cleaning, and x-rays. Let us help you make
healthy food choices for your young child - especially drinks and beverages. |
| Ages 4-6 |
Continue with six-month check up appointments and preventative treatments such as the application of fluoride and sealants
to prevent cavities on the chewing surface of molars. We routinely take x-rays once a year at this age. |
| Ages 7-10 |
Your child should know how to brush and floss on their own. Continue with regular six-month preventative appointments
including orthodontic evaluation. We continue with our age appropriate instruction on healthy food choices including wise snacking.
Remember younger children will most likely eat what is available at home. |
| Ages 11-18 |
This is an important age where growth and development of the mouth and teeth occur rapidly. We focus our attention on your child's tooth
eruption and position. Often we can make recommendations to minimize orthodontic need for braces. We also perform comprehensive orthodontic treatment using
functional orthopedic appliances and braces. |
