Dental Tips
  • All children should have their first dental exam by a pediatric dentist at one year old to show parents how to decrease tooth decay in their children.
  • Our staff will help parents prevent tooth decay in the children by showing parents how to lower their dental tooth decay rate by using xylitol containing dental products.
  • In a 2006 American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry study, children whose mothers chewed xylitol gum for 3 months after delivery until their children were 2 years old had a 70% reduction in cavities compared to other groups. Studies also show that xylitol chewing gum can help prevent acute otitis media, the most common ear infection in children. To learn more about xylitol products click here.
  • Early orthodontic treatment can improve your child's self-esteem, appearance, and minimize their treatment as a teenager.
  • Child pacifier use should stop between the ages of 10 - 12 months.
  • We are the pediatricians for teeth; we make dental treatment easy.
  • Your baby should stop taking a bottle by their first birthday to prevent baby bottle tooth decay and sippy cup tooth decay; and see your pediatric dentist too!
  • Ear infections & headaches can be caused by a poor bite, or extended use of a pacifier.
  • Seal out tooth decay by having sealants done!
  • Protect your child's smile with early dental visits.
  • Happiness is a healthy smile - and no cavities!
  • Wear mouthguards to prevent dental injury and concussions during athletic contact sports.
  • If your baby wants to suck their thumb, offer them a pacifier; then stop the pacifier at age 12 months.
